CarpetFest is a gathering of herp hobbyists where we have people with a similar passion, get from behind their computer, share some food, drinks, and knowledge with the purpose of reigniting our love for the hobby and the people in it.
Originally started by Eric Burke and Owen McIntyre of Morelia Python Radio, the first CarpetFest was held in Maryland in 2012 and over the years has spread to other regions of the U.S. and even over to the U.K.!
What started out as a group of guys getting together once a year has evolved into multiple events accessible to anyone in the U.S. in nearly any given region. There are currently 5 CarpetFests held annually. Southeast, Northeast (the original), Southern, Southwest and Northwest all accompanied by an auction that helps raise money for various causes like Nidovirus research and USARK!
